Manager of Technical Skills 

Overview: The Manager of Technical Skills is a leadership role in the Lockheed Martin Leadership Association, responsible for developing and delivering technical skills classes to enhance the technical capabilities of LMLA members. 

Key Responsibilities 


  • Develop and deliver monthly technical skills classes, such as Excel training, to enhance the technical capabilities of LMLA members 
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to design and deliver technical skills classes that meet the needs of LMLA members 
  • Promote technical skills classes to LMLA members to encourage participation 
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of technical skills classes and make recommendations for improvement 

Requirements 

  • Strong technical skills and knowledge in areas such as Excel, data analysis, and other technical topics 
  • Experience in developing and delivering training programs or classes 
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills 
  • Ability to work with subject matter experts to design and deliver technical skills classes  
  • Strong organizational and project management skills 

Time Commitment 

  • Average 5 hours per week, with increased hours class development and delivery 
  • Attend regular meetings with the Senior Manager of Essential Skills and LMLA leaders to discuss program planning and progress 
  • Participate in class setup, execution, and evaluation as needed 

Reporting Structure 

The Manager of Technical Skills will report to the Senior Manager of Essential Skills and will work closely with other LMLA leaders to develop and execute program initiatives.  


Support and Resource 

The Manager of Technical Skills will have access to support and resources from the Senior Manager of Essential Skills, including guidance on event planning and execution, as well as access to budget and resources to support program initiatives.
