About Professional Development
About Professional Development

Purpose
The primary purpose of the Professional Development Team is to promote personal and professional growth through education and leadership experiences. It is readily accepted that participation in a planned course of study contributes to personal and professional development. To that end, we offer a substantial resource of educational materials and will continue to offer current courses and provide new programs.

Classes and Seminars offered by LMLA are a no-obligation education and information opportunity. Your participation is totally optional. You are under no obligation to purchase any product or service from the firm presenting the seminar or class. By offering you this seminar / Class , LMLA, NMA and LM Aero do not make nor imply a recommendation or endorsement of the firm presenting the seminar, or any information, products or services they recommend.

Event Notification Form (Online Version) NEW!
Use this form to submit notice of a new course offering or event to be sponsored by LMLA.

Continuing Education Unit (CEU)  NOTE: "CEU" denotes both singular and plural.
CEU is recognized as a uniform unit of educational accomplishment by colleges, universities, and other adult education programs. CEU are awarded to individuals who satisfactorily complete educational opportunities that meet the stated criteria.

1 CEU = 10 hours of study. That is, one CEU represents 10 hours of participation in an organized, continuing education experience under reliable sponsorship, capable direction, and qualified instruction. For example, if a course is taught in seven two-hour sessions (a total of 14 hours of class), 1.4 CEU would be awarded for the completion of that course.

Course Requirements
Courses available through the Lockheed Martin Leadership Association are open to all employees. In most cases, family members and guests may be allowed to enroll, and usually there are no prerequisites. Registration costs for non-members may be slightly higher than the registration costs for members.

Registration Information
Watch the LM Aero Weekly InSite Newsletter and LMLA e-News, which is distributed monthly to all active members, for details on the next month's course offerings. Specific registration information will be provided for each course. You may register for courses by visiting the LMLA Office or calling 817-777-2182 for additional information.

Registration for classes is possible up to the time of the first class meeting (unless otherwise specified). It is advisable that you register as soon as possible since many of the courses fill up well in advance of the first class meeting.
